John Carroll University adds women’s flag football as varsity sport

John Carroll University has announced it will add women’s flag football as a varsity sport. The announcement follows the recent hiring of Felicia Teeter as running backs coach for JCU football. The university said Teeter will also serve as the head coach of the women’s flag football program.

Former Walsh (Louisville Standout) Brayden Gross Heading to Northern Illinois

The Northern Illinois Huskies have added some serious "size and skill" to their roster. Former Louisville High School star  Brayden Gross officially committed to NIU on April 17, making the jump to Division I after a dominant debut season at Walsh University. Gross, a 6-foot-7 power forward, was one of the most sought-after names in the NCAA Division II transfer portal this spring. His decision comes just weeks after he was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Freshman of the Year

The University of Akron men's basketball program has added Exavier Wilson from the NCAA transfer portal. Wilson announced his commitment to the Zips on social media on Thursday, April 16, and joins Tahj Staveskie and Max Burton as recent transfers for Akron and coach Dustin Ford.
