Cavaliers visit owner Dan Gilbert, still recovering from stroke

The Cleveland Cavaliers visited team owner Dan Gilbert, who is recovering at home after suffering a stroke in May. After playing a preseason game in Detroit on Friday night, the Cavs delayed their trip to Boston so they could spend time Saturday with 57-year-old Gilbert.

Indians to pick up option on Corey Kluber, to decline on Jason Kipnis

CLEVELAND -- The Indians wasted no time on one of their biggest offseason decisions: Bringing back Corey Kluber was a no-brainer. Cleveland said it intends to exercise Kluber's $17.5 million contract option for next season, when the two-time Cy Young Award winner is expected to be healthy -- and maybe rejuvenated -- following an injury-shortened 2019.

Browns coach admits late draw play a ‘bad call’

Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens admitted that it was a "bad call" to try a draw play on fourth-and-9 during Sunday night's 20-13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The Browns had the ball at the Rams' 40-yard line in the fourth quarter, with a chance to take the lead. But instead of trying to get the first down with a Baker Mayfield pass, Kitchens called a draw to Nick Chubb, who was stuffed for a 2-yard gain.

Source: Browns’ Njoku could need wrist surgery

Cleveland Browns tight David Njoku suffered a wrist injury Monday night that could require surgery, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Njoku, who exited Monday's win against the New York Jets with a concussion, is getting additional medical opinions to find out if surgery is necessary and how long he might be sidelined.
