The Archbishop Hoban Knights football backfield just added a massive spark from the Lone Star State. Sophomore running back Keontae “Ke” Hollis Jr. has officially announced his transfer from L.V. Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas, to Archbishop Hoban High School for the upcoming fall season.

Instagram announcement in collaboration with LucasCochranMedia. The 5-foot-9, 168-pound multi-position standout brings elite athleticism and immediate depth to Northeast Ohio.
Elite Production in Texas Class 6A
Hollis put up spectacular numbers during his freshman campaign at Berkner, playing against premier competition in Texas’ Class 6A Division II. Operating with explosive efficiency, he handled 64 carries for 728 yards. That calculates to an incredible 11.4 yards per carry.
The dynamic runner found the end zone frequently, tallying 10 rushing touchdowns alongside 87 receiving yards and two touchdown receptions. Defensively, he also flashed playmaking skills at linebacker, forcing and recovering a fumble.
A Powerhouse Skill Set
Hoban fans can expect a combination of true baseline speed and striking weight room strength. Hollis runs a blazing 4.5-second 40-yard dash. He backs up that speed with a 500-pound deadlift, a 405-pound squat, and a 260-pound bench press.
The move is also a homecoming of sorts for the family. He is the son of former Akron Zips defensive tackle Keontae Hollis Sr., who played at the University of Akron during the 2013 and 2014 college football seasons.
Shaking Up the Knights’ Depth Chart
Hollis arrives at a critical transition point for Hoban’s offense. The program recently experienced shifts in its offensive backfield after star rusher Brayton Feister transferred to Massillon.
Hollis is expected to instantly compete for touches alongside returning backs Kahlil Diming and Jaiden Daniels. Coming off a strong 10-2 season that ended in the Division II regional finals, Hoban is retooling quickly to make another deep postseason run.
