Mount Union Takes Care of John Carroll in NCAA Playoffs, Advances to Third Round

The Mount Union football team started the 2024 NCAA Playoffs with a dominant 42-7 win over John Carroll in the Second Round at home on Saturday at Kehres Stadium.

Senior running back Tyler Echeverry (Naples, FL/Barron Collier) tied his career-high rushing yards total with 176 (matching his career-best he had against JCU in the regular season), with a 7.0 average per carry, for his sixth-straight game of at least 100 yards on the ground. He totaled two rushing touchdowns and one receiving score, achieving 211 yards from scrimmage.

Cubs acquire reliever Morgan, trade prospect to Guardians

On Wednesday, the Cubs took a step in that planned direction by acquiring reliever Eli Morgan from the Guardians in exchange for outfield prospect Alfonsin Rosario (No. 21 on Pipeline’s Top 30 list for the Cubs). Cleveland Guardians Stephen Vogt named AL Manager of the Year

After his debut season, Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt has been named the AL Manager of the Year.

This season, Vogt led the team to its 12th American League Central Division title and second-best record in the AL, the team said.

Mount Union earns 2024 Playoff Bye. Will host 2nd round game.

The 13-time National Champion Mount Union football team earned a first round bye in the 2024 NCAA Division III Playoffs and will host a second round game on Saturday, November 30 at Kehres Stadium.

The Purple Raiders (10-0), who earned their 33rd overall and eighth-straight undefeated regular season, won their league-record 35th Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship to secure the conference's NCAA automatic qualifying bid for this year's NCAA Playoffs.
