The Akron Board of Education reversed two earlier decisions, and voted to allow contact and non-contact sports to proceed in the district. The 4-to-3 vote Monday evening also allows the resumption of practice and limited performance of high school marching bands.

The Cleveland Browns have been dealing with a laundry list of injuries since training camp kicked off last week but the team was dealt perhaps its biggest blow yet when the MRI results were revealed for rookie safety Grant Delpit who was carted off the field at camp on Monday afternoon.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Delpit suffered a torn Achilles tendon during practice. Rapoport reported that Delpit's season is likely over before it could even get started.

The NBA draft lottery was delayed three months. The Minnesota Timberwolves are certainly feeling like the wait was worthwhile.
The Timberwolves won the lottery Thursday night, giving them the No. 1 pick. The lottery was conducted virtually because of the pandemic, with NBA officials doing the actual draw in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren on Wednesday released an open letter to the conference community stating that the vote by the Big Ten's Council of Presidents and Chancellors was "overwhelmingly in support of postponing fall sports and will not be revisited."
