Brian Gamble has resigned as the head football coach for
after a nine-season tenure, the school district announced on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The decision follows a challenging 0-10 finish to the 2025 season.
Gamble, who became head coach in 2017 after serving as the team’s offensive coordinator for several years, built a strong program during his time leading the Cardinals.
A Successful Tenure Amidst Challenges
In the eight seasons prior to 2025, Gamble compiled an impressive 51-36 overall record and guided the Cardinals to the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) playoffs five times. The highlights of his coaching run included back-to-back 9-2 seasons in both 2018 and 2019, and the program’s first conference championship since 1956. The team was a frequent contender in the competitive Inter-Valley Conference (IVC).
