The Altoona Curve played spoiler for the home opener at Canal Park, shutting out the RubberDucks and only surrendering one hit in a 5-0 Curve win. Altoona’s James Marvel blanked the RubberDucks through six innings and the Curve offense supported the righthander with three runs in the fourth inning followed by two more runs in the fifth.
