Trent Jones of Jackson hit some HUGE shots to lead Jackson to a win over GlenOak! Great performance Trent!

Playing aggressively in all phases, Minerva controlled the first quarter against Alliance in the second regular-season meeting between the Eastern Buckeye Conference rivals.   After surviving that early eight-minute onslaught, the Aviators regrouped and rallied for a 57-51 win over the Lions Friday night.

The Marlington Dukes outscored the West Branch Warriors 18-7 in the third quarter to break open a close game on their way to a 64-51 win in an Eastern Buckeye Conference boys basketball game on Friday night.

Due to the expected winter storm, we are postponing the Mercy Medical Basketball Classic to Saturday, February 16, and Sunday, February 17, 2019.

Sincere Harris had 35 points to lead Hoover to a 69-51 win over GlenOak!  Great game Sincere, keep up the hard work!

Markavien Mason helped lead the Dukes to victory (64-51) over West Branch. Mason was a true team player with scoring, rebounds and blocked shots! Great game Markavien!

The only thing Hoover High School Athletic Director Tim Walker can do now is hope for the best.Final preparations for the 15th Mercy Medical Classic hosted by Hoover are being made this week. The 20-team boys basketball event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday with five games set for each day.  What Walker and others associated with the Mercy Medical Classic can’t control is the weather.

The National Weather Service forecast includes the potential for 15 inches of snow and wind chill temperatures well below  zero.  Up to 15 inches of snow could fall in the Akron-Canton area Saturday night ahead of an Arctic blast that could bring wind-chill readings of 25 degrees below zero.  Click HERE to read more.
