As college football crawls closer to kickoff, the Kent State Golden Flashes are already picking up significant recognition, placing seven players on the 2026 Pro Football Network (PFN) Preseason All-MAC teams.
The announcement highlights a strong blend of explosive offensive weapons and foundational pieces in the trenches, signaling high expectations for Kent State in the Mid-American Conference this season.
First-Team Powerhouse
The Golden Flashes are well-represented at the top of the gridiron, boasting four First-Team selections. The dynamic wide receiver duo of Wayne Harris and Da’Realyst Clark both landed First-Team honors, giving Kent State one of the most feared aerial duos in the conference. Clark, a former MAC Special Teams Player of the Year and HERO Sports Group of Five All-American, continues to be recognized as one of the most electric playmakers in the region.
Joining them on the First Team are offensive lineman Mofe Adewole, who anchors the protection upfront, and defensive tackle Thomas Aden, who is expected to spearhead the defensive front for the Flashes this fall.
Trenches and Targets Complete the Lineup
On the Second Team, offensive lineman Jaxon Dunn earns recognition, solidifying an experienced Kent State front line that features two preseason All-MAC selections.
Rounding out the accolades are two vital pieces of the passing game on the Third Team: quarterback Dru DeShields and tight end Terik Mulder. DeShields, who turned heads last season with a massive 317-yard, five-touchdown performance to earn MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, enters the 2026 season with high expectations at the helm of the offense. Meanwhile, the 6-foot-5, 250-pound Mulder gives DeShields a massive, versatile matchup nightmare at tight end.
With seven standouts locked into the preseason spotlights, the Golden Flashes are showing they have the top-tier talent required to make some serious noise in the MAC this year.
