Feister Brothers Transfer from Hoban to Massillon

May 5, 2026
The landscape of Northeast Ohio high school football just experienced a seismic shift. In a move that has sent shockwaves through the OHSAA community, standout brothers Brayton and Brydon Feister have officially transferred from Akron Archbishop Hoban to Massillon Washington High School.
The news, first confirmed on May 4, 2026, marks the departure of two of the state’s most decorated recruits from the Knights’ program to join the historic Tigers. According to their father, Bo Feister, the family recently purchased a home in the Massillon district, and the brothers officially enrolled this week.
A Defensive Dynasty Moves West
The Feister brothers aren’t just any transfers; they are defensive anchors with elite pedigree:
  • Brayton Feister (Class of 2027): A four-star linebacker prospect standing 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds. Last season, Brayton was a statistical titan for Hoban, racking up 133 total tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. He also moonlighted as a bruising running back, rushing for nearly 1,100 yards and 17 touchdowns.
  • Brydon Feister (Class of 2028): A three-star prospect who has already made a massive name for himself on the wrestling mat as a two-time state champion. On the football field, he contributed 75 tackles and two defensive touchdowns last year.
Between them, the duo holds roughly 60 Division I offers, including interest from powerhouse programs like Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Georgia.
