Louisville City Schools is proud to announce Jake Adkins as the new Head Football Coach of the Louisville Leopards

LOUISVILLE, OH — Louisville City Schools is proud to announce Jake Adkins as the new Head Football Coach of the Louisville Leopards. A familiar face to the Leopard community, Adkins returns to the sidelines at Leopard Stadium—this time leading the program he knows so well.
A Louisville alumnus and former Leopard student-athlete, Coach Adkins is no stranger to Friday nights under the lights. His deep-rooted connection to the district, combined with years of coaching experience within the Leopards football program, makes this a meaningful and exciting transition for the team and the community.
“The Leopards are proud to bring back a Leopard who truly understands what this program stands for,” said Superintendent Michele Shaffer. “This district, this program, and this community thrive on tradition, and Jake knows exactly what it takes to be a Leopard on and off the field. We are very excited to see where he takes the program.”
Coach Adkins brings extensive experience at multiple levels within Louisville City Schools, including serving as a freshman head coach, varsity assistant and defensive coordinator, and middle school head coach, while also focusing on developing student-athletes both academically and athletically. His commitment to leadership development, character, and relationships has been evident throughout his career.
Athletic Director Terrie Horn also expressed her enthusiasm for the transition.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jake in his new role as Head Coach,” Horn said. “He is no stranger to this program and has worked for years to build up our student leaders. His passion for our students, our traditions, and our community truly sets him apart, and we are excited for the future of Leopard football under his leadership.”
